I really really need a project or something. I'm going nuts since I graduated. Normal people don't miss school this much.

i've been looking all over the internet for a blue bubbles shower curtain. anybody know where i can find one? it's very important to our bathroom decor.

i made a cake with crushed peppermint sticks on it, but i think the cake tastes better without the hard chunks of peppermint. if they were softer or crushed to a powder it might be better...maybe i could use those soft peppermint sticks next time.

my house is a wreck. and i'm trying to motivate myself to clean, but it's not easy...."yay! if i clean, it'll get messed up really soon and i'll get to do it again!"

i called walgreens today to refill a prescription and the wait time was over 3 hours. that's insane. good thing they stay open 24 hours or i'd be in trouble.

go see the lion, the witch and the wardrobe. it's awesome. read the book too.

well, i've finally joined everybody else in the world and gotten a cell phone. i don't really like talking on the phone. but the new cell phones are a good thing because...

A#1: we don't have a land line, cause we po.

A#2: now i'll know that my husband is ok while he's coming home at 1 a.m. from pizza hut instead of sitting at home worrying myself to death.

A#3: now my mom can call me and not worry herself to death wondering where i am.

we decided that we should just get cell phones and not a land line cause really we only needed the cell phones. the land line is pretty much pointless if you have enough minutes to be able to use the phones when you need to. and we've survived without any of them so far. maybe when we're millionaires we'll get a home phone just for decoration...or maybe for the internet, cause apparently you can only get dial-up where we live...oh yeah, we don't have that either, cause we po. but that's ok...it's really not as bad as you think it would be.

i've decided that since i took the time to change my page and make it look so fun with the picture of me and lee instead of the doggie sign, and also, that's it's been almost 2 years since i wrote a blog, i'll write one now.

thursday i went to charlotte to see nickel creek! yay!!! it was so much fun. they did 'the fox' last and they played from all their albums, so i was pleased. they didn't do 'doubting thomas' though, i was sad about that. but it was definitely worth the money. i also realized that sara and sean look a whole lot like hobbits--they're super short and fun. and then chris is super tall, so it makes sara and sean look even smaller, hehe. and their bassist did a jig, that was great.

more later.

and you thought being a musician was a safe job:

tonight we had a concert at my school...it was a combined holiday concert featuring the jazz ensemble, wind ensemble and old main singers. yesterday we were at old main rehearsal and there were 2 sets of risers for the women to stand on and doc told us to mix up and stand on them and the guys could stand on the floor behind the piano, which separated the risers...well we all basically got situated on the risers and all of a sudden i hear this cracking noise and i look over and all the girls standing on the other set were falling to the ground. apparently whoever put them together didn't secure it well enough and it collapsed when everbody stood on it. :( a couple of the girls had bruises and one had to go to the emergency room cause her foot got caught under it all when she fell...dangerous i tell ya...

hehe, so tonight before our concert we were warming up and i looked on the board and doc had written, 'don't worry about the risers, i personally jumped on them to make sure they're secure'.....:) and they didn't fall again.
